Tributes Pour In for Rob and Michele Reiner as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, peers and loved ones continue to honor the pair.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Sharing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, explained he only now felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," wrote Elwes, saying that his introductory moment with Reiner made him fall in love. "As we began sharing more moments together I understood this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded never-before-seen clips from the movie, adding that he doesn't recollect "one day without mirth".

"The movie is about devotion, fidelity and selflessness. Things that Rob cherished deeply. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes continued.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Claiming that they were a great team would be an understatement. My heart still aches every time I recall you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a separate piece, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved being with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was very funny and sometimes acutely humorous, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese said.

Scorsese pointed out Reiner's supporting role in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the protagonist.

"He could improvise with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese wrote.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

In a new development, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, after an appeal from the Los Angeles Police Department.

A judicial mandate put a embargo on the investigation to restrict the public release of "related notes, documents, files or images" pertaining to the active case.

The relevant authority had already determined their deaths were the consequence of homicide, with a official listing citing the cause as "injuries from a sharp object".

Response and Criticism

Following the tragedy, public personalities expressed varying responses.

Ex-President Donald Trump commented on the matter, providing divisive claims that were met with immediate backlash by several commentators.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his criticism to the critics recently. Conversing on his podcast, Rogan described the comments as "disappointing" and remarked they revealed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan ended by suggesting that an aide could have acted when the impulse to weigh in on the death was made.
