Aircraft Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Due to Fracture in Windshield
A jet carrying Pete Hegseth was forced to make an emergency landing in the Britain on Wednesday after a crack was identified in the plane's windshield, according to an official statement which verified that Hegseth was safe.
"The jet landed following established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Pete Hegseth, is secure," a press officer stated in a social media post.
The secretary was coming back from a short visit to Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a US military aircraft transporting a high-ranking official has encountered technical problems.
In a previous incident this year, a American military jet ferrying the US Secretary of State to the city in Germany was forced to return to Washington after encountering a mechanical problem.
